CI build failed on every run since #1 at Check whitespace: testing/virtual-streamdeck/vsd-prefs.ps1:8: trailing whitespace. (exit 2). All earlier steps (typecheck, tests, build, validate, pack, package contents) passed.

  • Remove the trailing space.
  • The step ran git show --check HEAD, which only checks HEAD's own diff and is unreliable on merge commits. It now diffs the empty tree against HEAD, so every tracked file is checked (works with depth-1 checkout).

Checks: npm run check (37/37 tests, validation OK), whole-tree git diff --check clean, gitleaks clean.

Review-gate: codex gpt-6.1-sol ship (no blocking items; one review for plan and diff, as the change is trivial).
