    JW Zoom Switcher 0.2.1: fixes from a tester's 0.2.0 support file.

    Install

    1. Download xyz.acyber.jwzoomswitcher.streamDeckPlugin below.
    2. Optional: check it. In PowerShell, in the download folder, (Get-FileHash .\xyz.acyber.jwzoomswitcher.streamDeckPlugin).Hash must equal
      7BF1A7179DFA065957861D771F4D54FB2583CE61DBB86F2CF889B15EDB879304 (also in SHA256SUMS.txt).
    3. Double-click it with the Stream Deck app running and click Install (replaces 0.2.0 in place; the key stays where it is).

    What's new since 0.2.0

    • Faster switch-back: putting JW Library back on the TV takes about 0.3 s instead of about 1.5 s.
    • Keyboard focus after switching back: when Windows has paused JW Library and it has to be re-activated, the plugin now tries more ways to give the keyboard back to the app you were using. The log records which way worked.
    • Smaller support file: the diagnostics appear once instead of twice.

    Good to know

    • The keyboard-focus fix couldn't be verified on the test VM (JW Library never takes the focus there). If the keyboard still ends up in JW Library after switching back, please send a support file: click the key in the Stream Deck app → Save support file.

    Tested on the Windows 11 VM (Zoom 7.2.5, JW Library 15.10.9, Stream Deck 7.6) with real key presses: 6/6 lifecycle checks pass. Results: testing/results/vm-v0.2.1-2026-11-04.md.

    JW Zoom Switcher 0.2.0: one Stream Deck key puts Zoom's dual-monitor second window on the TV over JW Library's media, and puts everything back on the next press.

    Install

    Requires Windows 10/11, Stream Deck 7.1+, Zoom with Use dual monitors and JW Library with Play video on second display.

    What's new since 0.1

    • Quick presses no longer queue: presses during a switch and for 1 s after are ignored; the key shows WORKING.
    • JW Library's media window minimised or hidden (nothing on the TV): the key shows BACK TO JW and one press brings it back.
    • Faster, capped switch-back when Windows has paused JW Library (never more than about 4 s).
    • Switch that did nothing: some Zoom sessions ignore the way 0.1 moved its window; 0.2 retries with a direct move (only if Zoom is responding).
    • Short reasons on the key (No Zoom, Zoom x1, No JW, Zoom min, Blocked, Check, Press again…), shown before you press.
    • Warnings while Zoom is on the TV (Zoom moved or closed, JW on top, displays changed); one press still puts everything back.
    • Settings panel: live status, last result, Save support file (redacted diagnostics and logs on the Desktop) and Advanced detection dropdowns for after app updates. In 0.1 the panel never received the plugin's replies; fixed.
    • Safer recovery: every window re-identified before each change, the undo record kept until both apps are verified back, and the plugin never waits on an app that isn't responding. A crash, Stream Deck restart or reboot mid-meeting is put right by the next press.
    • Update resilience: second detection paths for a rebuilt JW Library and for Zoom without its toolbar window.
    • Build integrity: shipped native binaries must match the checksums locked in package-lock.json.

    Good to know

    • If the TV is switched off or unplugged and the key then says "No JW", turn JW Library's Play video on second display off and on.
    • Something odd? Click the key in the Stream Deck app → Save support file → send the file.
    • Not verified on the test VM: giving keyboard focus back to your previous app after JW Library had to be re-activated. Please report whether the keyboard ends up in JW Library after switching back.

    Tested on a Windows 11 VM (Zoom 7.2.5, JW Library 15.10.9, Stream Deck 7.6): exact restore from 10 starting positions and a full lifecycle suite including a real reboot while covering. Results: testing/results/vm-lifecycle-2026-11-03.md. Demo video: videos/jwzoom-v0.2.0-demo-1920x540.mp4.
